Payment Industry Veteran David Magley Inducted Into Indiana Basketball
Hall of Fame


Moneris Solutions Senior Vice President Starred at University of Kansas, Played in NBA


Schaumburg, IL, March 31, 2010- Moneris Solutions, one of North America's largest payment processors, announced today that David Magley, senior vice president, regional sales of its U.S. division and a 13-year veteran of the payments industry, was recently inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall Of Fame as part of its Class of 2010.

A native of South Bend, Indiana, Magley was named Indiana Mr. Basketball in 1978, starred for the University of Kansas and later played professionally in the NBA, CBA and in Europe.

Magley, who was voted into the Hall of Fame on his first nomination, joins Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, George McGinnis and other Indiana basketball legends as inductees.

"I never dreamed I'd be voted into the Indiana Basketball Hall Of Fame someday", said Magley. "To be included among the likes of Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, John Wooden and George McGinnis, among others, is humbling. I am truly honored."

Magley played high school basketball at LaSalle High School in South Bend, IN then starred at the University of Kansas, where he was named Academic All-American in 1982. A 6'-8" forward, Magley finished his collegiate career at Kansas with 1,021 points, 596 rebounds, 137 assists and 99 steals. He was selected in the second round of the 1982 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, playing one season in Cleveland before finishing his professional career playing in the CBA and in Europe.

As Senior Vice President, Regional Sales, Magley oversees all aspects of the Moneris U.S. Regional Sales Team, including strategic planning, recruitment, training and development. Prior to joining Moneris, Magley served as vice president, regional sales for payment processor RBSLynk.
