CHICAGO, IL, February 28, 2005 – Moneris Solutions, one of North America’s largest electronic transaction processors, today announced agreements to provide credit card processing services to six higher education institutions.
The following institutions are now using the Moneris Solutions and infiNET Service Charge Program to allow students and third-party payers to pay tuition and fees with their credit cards:
Gonzaga University (Spokane, WA)
Regis University (Denver, CO)
Temple University (Philadelphia, PA)
University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA)
University of San Diego (San Diego, CA)
University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX)
Under the agreements, Moneris will provide credit card processing services through infiNET’s QuikPAY® service, which is a fully integrated automated billing, payment, and commerce solution for the higher education market. With the Service Charge Program, students and families of these universities will have the convenience of paying their tuition and fee statements online with a credit card. The payer will be assessed a service charge, but the student and parents will still have the flexibility to directly pay the university via other no-cost payment options.
The universities above are using Moneris Solutions’ services and support to accept credit cards through the Internet. The universities are currently equipped to accept MasterCard®, Discover/Novus®, and American Express®.
